We will be visiting Perth in January and I will have Diamond status by then. I have read mixed reviews of the hotel, including from friends in Perth. Is it worth staying at the Parmelia Hilton for the free breakfast, room upgrade and executive lounge or are we better staying somewhere else?
Hot breakfast in restaurant has an extra charge (like most Hiltons in Australia)
We stayed at the Doubletree in Perth – very new hotel, great location and a very generous continental buffet included as part of the HH status. It was only 10AUD to add on the hot bit of the buffet and this could be chosen day by day and person by person; we didn’t choose it often but it was nice to have the option.
I can’t comment on the Parmelia, I’m afraid, but also wanted to mention the Doubletree in Perth. I loved my stay there – was given a nice room upgrade as Gold, spacious room, modern decor, and fab location down by the harbour. Might be worth a look.
