Do we know for certain yet, if you pay the monthly fee for the Premier Account, if you get the 100k bonus with the Avios Plus card or not?
Mrs has just completed her 6 month suspension, but I can’t be bothered with the rigmarole of a new account application etc if there is no chance of the bonus Avios.
Particularly when I read some of the tales of woe regarding the application process etc!

Well if you stick to the rules then it should, as its a 4 month wait i dont think anyone will have had their bonus yet
Reading a few other threads it appears you need to take out a normal account(you maybe be only offered that anyway)and then upgrade (if they let you) if you don’t meet the earnings/savings criteria?
Not sure then. I only held the free BC Avios and applied and got accepted for the premier account and upgrade to paid BC Avios, once i get the new card (as need to wait till the statement date) then i will apply the Avios premier ‘add on’ at £12pm.
I dont see anything else on the T&C about earning thresholds as it says on my welcome email that for the premier account they wont look until year 2 so i am expecting to pay 4x £20 for Avios plus and 4x£12 for the Avios rewards on the bank account so in 4 months i should be 100k richer in Avios points (well 125k as plan in using the current account switching service) or i will be about £128 out of pocket (not including the bonus Avios at 1.5x) as i run a good chunk of spending each month with the credit card at the moment. In fact, my spend just might cover the cost over the next 4 months.

I have seen a couple social media posts Barclays have replied to stating it doesn’t matter how you have the account as long as you open 1 or both products in the qualifying window you will get the 100k bonus.
