My OH is Virgin Silver and I am Red with no flight history.
I have a Companion voucher and lots of points from Virgin Credit Card.
Anyone have any ideas how we can use her status somehow to get the better points usage from the companion voucher in Upper?
Call them up, I’d say. One option is to have one of you (you, I think) open a Household Account, since that’s where your voucher is, and then invite your OH to join the household to make their points usable. Ordinarily, VAA agents are able to flexible with regards award redemption – the usual rule of thumb is that they can take points from various FC pools so long as each segment is covered entirely by one person’s points; there may be similar flexibility on the CVs.
Mind, then you’re still in the boat with the rest of us looking for availability…
