    Good morning all,

Thinking about booking a family trip to Northern Italy for the middle of February for around 5 nights to meet up with another family member who is visiting. The nearest Airports to where he is based are Milan, Genoa and Turin.

Any recommendations on where would be best to based for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged 11 + 9)?

Only been to Venice before and that was many moons ago.

    Many thanks.

The ski season will have kicked in by mid February, so if you want to travel on a saturday or sunday to Turin, flight prices may be highish. Genoa fights might be cheaper.

Accomodation away from any skiing might also be easier to find.

Generally, I find train travel in Italy very good.

Linate now has a metro underground service.

Genoa has port city excitement which I like.

Milan is often the cheapest airport to fly in Italy and has many hotel options.

BTW Milan has two airports, Linate and Malpensa.
