    Showing up on the app but obviously not bookable yet. Presume this is a refurb/rebrand albeit no dates as to when it’ll be open.

    Ooh. Interesting, thanks.

    A bit more detail on this, not opening until July 2024 and going to be located at Norfolk Square it seemed replacing the Norfolk Plaza hotel.

    87 rooms, and judging by the nearby competition, a Hyatt Place is probably sensible as opposed to any other brand.

    I’ve just noticed there’s a park Hyatt coming to London too, I must have totally missed this one too.

    Down in Battersea by the American Embassy. I don’t think anyone is expecting much of it and the location stinks.

    @Rob
    – just reminded of this view espoused last year when the PH was announced. Guessing you have a slightly different view/feeling now having walked around it recently….?

    Funny the difference 6 months can make …

    Location still stinks.

    Hotel has had a crazy amount of money spent on it and will very much meet Park Hyatt standards inside, but the location is still an issue – not just south of the river but the traffic island is to next to. Even getting to the drop-off area for reception is difficult.

    The other issue is that the area around it isn’t finished either. You can’t, for eg, walk from the hotel to Battersea Power Station via the central path which runs through Nine Elms which is a fundamental issue.

    That wasn’t me having a dig btw Rob, was genuinely interested in whether your view(s) had shifted following your site visit / tour.

    Would like to think that Hyatt may offer some attractive initial room rates to reflect the issues you mention……
