That’s interesting. OH has a black account with credit card and I have reward account with credit card. Neither of us has received an email! Questioning why we are paying them so much on a monthly basis when we don’t get notified.
That’s weird because all NatWest credit cards are Mastercard I think?
They’ll probably launch a card with zero fx fees and call that a ‘new travel card’.
They already have a card with zero fx fees. Had a similar email today about the new card, but OH did not because most likely they send them out in batches. I am waiting to see what the offer will be and whether it will be meaningful in the overall card strategy.
I think from the email it will have a £0 fee, but that’s all we know so far

Yes. All ours are Mastercard, including the replacement card that arrived last week. I’m also sure one of the “benefits” of the black account card is 0% fx charge, hence OH always uses his card when travelling outside Europe when use my Virgin card.
I’ve not got an email from NatWest regarding that, either. I’ve got the Black card but never really get promotional emails because I turn them off for everything.

Almost all the cards I’ve received in years (linked to new products) have been Mastercards, my Natwest debit and ancient Barclays Hilton are the notable exceptions. What MC is getting right (or Visa wrong) to attract all the fintechs and loyalty card operators I have no idea.
Also have the black reward card and haven’t heard anything, other than an increase in the monthly charge.
I wonder if it is aimed at people who don’t already have a 0% foreign fees charge?

What is this monthly charge?
The annual fee still shows as £84 on the website, though I just skimmed through.

You mean the credit card, the OP meant the packaged account (going from £31 to £38 a month from June).
