Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Multiply Your Points Promotion (Stay Vs Room) Query.

I wonder if anyone can help me, apologies if this is an obvious question that has been gone over before.

Just returned from a stay at the Vienna Plaza Hilton with my Family. 2 rooms were booked under the same booking. I signed up to the current “Multiply Your Points Promotion x2”

However, now the points have been credited to my account, the points break-down is as follows:

    Room 1 Points: 15,610
    Base Points: 7,805
    Diamond Elite 100% Bonus: 7,805

    Room 2 Points: 28,678
    Base Points: 9,226
    Diamond Elite 100% Bonus: 9,226
Multiply Your Points x2 Promotion: 9,226
    DIAMOND MYWAY BONUS: 1,000

    Stay Total: 44,288 Points

I know the Diamond My Way Bonus is a flat rate issued per stay regardless of spend, but my query here is why is the Multiply Your Points x2 Promotion only applied to a single room? The collective stay (all booked at the same time under the same booking reference) base points was 17,031 points, my Diamond Elite 100% Bonus collectively was 17,031 points, so why wasn’t my Multiply Your Points x2 Promotion also 17,031 points? if that is the case, am i 7,805 points short?

I called up the Hilton customer services and the guy on the other end suggested the bonus is only applied “per stay and as such can only be applied to one room”… which confuses me? which room do they apply it to if that was the case?

looking at the T&Cs its states: “A ‘stay’ is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. Offer is not valid for groups and cannot be combined with other select offers.” …is a 2 rooms considered a group booking and therefore is that where i fall fowl???

Any help, clarification or assistance is welcome.

‘….fall fowl.’ haha good one for Thanksgiving !

No mystery here, you only get the promo offer on the room you are in, other rooms on the same booking just get the normal points.

I just experienced the same thing. I wasn’t aware I’d only receive the bonus points on one of the rooms. Couldn’t see any mention of this on the Hilton FAQs page for the offer. I had assumed I’d received the bonus points on total spend (i.e. total invoice amount)
