Forums Other Airport lounges Montreal – YUL

The lounge situation in YUL is super weird.

Basically, there are 3 lounges in the international terminal:
    National Bank Lounge (PP)
    Air France Lounge (PP)
    Air Canada Lounge.

British Airways previously used the National Bank Lounge, but now use the Air France lounge(!). The National Bank lounge is large, ish, but incredibly dated now, it kinda feels like a 90s swimming baths cafe. The hot food options were OK just not plentiful, the bar was OK, the seating was mixed. It was *incredibly* busy.

The Air France lounge had a better range of food, and very French themed (as you might expect), the bar was sizeable. It was fairly long and thin however, and I could imagine it getting quite busy. They certainly weren’t allowing PP folks in. There is also a large section roped off for Air France customers (which was odd, given the last flight had long since left from what I could make out!)

I still can’t get over the fact the Air France lounge is the BA Club lounge though.

I was in the USA departures section last week (separate to the international and domestic sections as it’s after US pre-clearance).

No lounge available for oneworld (AA) customers at all. I used my Amex Platinum to get into the Plaza Premium “Desjardins Odyssey” lounge, which is a bit unusual as it’s an open lounge area near the other cafes/restaurants with tensa-barriers and planters to stop people wandering in. Very busy. It was OK to grab a quick/basic lunch but not a relaxing place to wait for the flight.
