What’s the easiest way to claim missing tier points on virgin?
I flew VA over 6 weeks ago and tier points not posted.
Thank you
There an online form or call them.
I have missing partner points (miles and TP) flown with ITA in July. I waited the 30 days like the website said (more fool me, won’t be doing that again) before filing a claim which Flying Club says can take ANOTHER 30 days.
Outbound flight eventually posted 2 weeks after my claim (so 6 weeks after the flight) but Inbound flight has not posted and Flying Club are not responding to chase-up emails save for to acknowledge their receipt.
Has anyone had any success with ITA or other Skyteam partner airline points posting to Flying Club? I have another ITA itinerary (ITA-nerary?😁) coming up this week so if this kind of failure to post is SOP with Virgin I’ll slam the claim in rather more quickly this time)
I’m waiting on one from Tarom but I’m pretty sure the relevant web page said wait 6 weeks.
It would be good to get some clarity as to how exactly partner points activity is reconciled.
If it is the case that partner activity involving VAFC accounts is only reported monthly by spreadsheet sent 3 weeks after the close of the month and this has to be manually reviewed then
a)expectations can be adjusted accordingly but also
b)Eurgghhh!! Surely some better technology exists to improve this process that would be worth exploring.
I think that depends on the partner’s own processes as much as anything, @southlondonphil. Given how VS IT works, I can see why AF/KL/DL usually post quickly and without issue. The lesser-known partners or slightly more esoteric SkyTeam members? I can see that taking a while, if they’re used to throwing spreadsheets and emails about the place.
Having travelled with AF / KLM / SQ / DL and VS this year….
AF / KLM post the day after.
DL takes three days
VS four
SQ takes the longest at nearly a week.
Only the AF / KLM flights have not had to result in a “missing points” form this year.
BUT: The team that add the points are normally VERY quick. Normally overnight and even with SQ not being part of SkyTeam, that only took three days
