Minimum gap between Amex applications

My wife has the 24k referral offer on her platinum card, so I’m wondering how many cards I can have her refer me for. More precisely, is there a minimum time gap between me applying for different Amex cards?

I can’t tell you if there’s a minimum time gap in AMEX policy, or if there’s any algorithms running in the system to catch stuff like this, or if it will do any long-term harm to your relationship with AMEX or other financial institutions. What I can give you is a single data point;

My wife was successfully referred for the Platinum card on 5 May, and has just been successfully referred for the Rewards card today (17 May); a 12 day gap between successful referral applications.

Referral points posted for the first referral. No reason to not expect the referral points for the second referral
