So is there other ‘Metal’ Credit other than the following in the UK that i am aware of?
Curve (got metal but still use until expired after downgraded subscription)
Revolt metal
Amex Platinum
Amex Amazon Prime Business (got this too)
Not a credit card but the cryto.com cards are metal
Monzo issue a metal debit card with their £15/month premium current account too.
I wish one of my day-to-day card providers would switch to one, the Amex Platinum metal card is a really nice thing. I’d pay a tenner to have my Tesco Bank premium card, for example, reissued as a flat metal card. Not gonna happen though.

I don’t like them at all, they are heavy, others have reported they get stuck in ATM. My curve card the metal side started pulling away from the plastic backing and I cut my hand on that (I note other cards are fully metal) and got eaten by an ATM.
I do however like that metal cards is very good for scratching off the panel on gift cards now that I don’t carry coins!
I’m with you on this Reney, metal cards too heavy and thick. One metal card in my wallet is like three regular cards.
Who benefits from them? Do people really get some enjoyment from owning/using a metal card? No one else needs to see it these days with contactless and self serve checkouts, it’s not going to impress anyone.
Do people really get some enjoyment from owning/using a metal card?
Yes, personally speaking I very much enjoyed the way the card felt and in particular in situations like in a restaurant where you leave your card out to indicate you’d like to pay. I also liked how robust it was as all the other cards in my wallet tend to delaminate and generally get mashed over a few months – this is less of a problem with flat plastic cards but even then I’ve found the details start to wear off quicker than with The Platinum Card at least.

Nah not like that at all. More like the feeling of having an unusual phone; something to talk about.
I don’t wear a watch or wear any branded clothes. My car was the cheapest car on the market 7 years ago and I intend to drive it until it’s uneconomic. It’s definitely not about status!
