We have a six night points stay at Six Senses Laamu next March, followed by 4 nights at the Radisson Blu resort also on points. I am aware (before the comments come flooding in) that we are doing these the wrong way round quality wise, assuming one wants to finish on a high note. However. the reason it is structured this way is because I had the 10 nights locked in with a BA 2-4-1 redemption, which are hard to get to the Maldives, and was booking the SS nights one at a time as they were being released and then availability just stopped! Now thanks to dynamic pricing the rooms are 239k points a night which is too rich for me instead of the 100k that I booked the first six nights at… So, trying the Radisson as I can’t see us going back to SS anytime soon with the new IHG rates.
Anyway – the question – has anyone got experience of arranging inter island flights for this sort of 2 centre Maldives trip? I assume the simple approach is just arranging our transfers via Male with both resorts but I can’t help feeling I may be missing a trick here given the costs involved!
Resorts will do boat transfers if they are close enough, but for flights I was told I would have to go back to Male

Cheers @Masaccio – I thought as much but with the price of seaplane transfers to the Radisson I wanted to be sure ! 😂 Still, on cost of acquiring points basis, which is my preferred metric, I’m at £300 pn at SS and £187 @ Radisson so not too shabby. Just hope I can scrape some pennies together for F&B!!
Grr! Another reply disappeared.
Ask at the first resort for a price. They will offer depending whether you want to go direct or via Male, sometimes they can work a cheap route via a third resort.
Yes, we did this last November. It would have been a quite long boat ride (and it happened to be quite windy on the day) and the resort recommended going back to Male by seaplane. The second resort was then a shorter speedboat trip from Male.
At that time we had the added sweat of having to do a covid test to change resort!
