MAD-SJO double points needed on BA.com?

Hi, I noticed that MAD-SJO is charged different amount of AVIOS on Iberia and BA.
To be exact it’s on J 21500 Avios on Iberia.com 42500 on BA.com, is this difference normal? If I call BA, can I ask them to charge the same amount of Avios as Iberia?

There are a few articles and threads on here about IB v BA pricing – if you book on BA, though, you have to pay their avios (and surcharges)!

You are looking at different pricing options that also differ in the cash amount. If you check the offered pricing, you’ll see that they are exactly the same for BA and for Iberia (42,500+£112.70 vs 21,250+£357.70).
