    Tonight I accidentally booked a Middle East Hotel with points for TONIGHT not later in year. I couldn’t cancel online as it was within 24 hours .

    I rang customer care and they were so good. They rang the hotel and explained it was a mistake .Points returned and reputation in tact ( I didn’t want to be a no show as we are staying there later in the year)
    The agent even rang me back when the phone call was cut off ! ( BA could take some notes )

    I will find a suitable way to get my thanks to the powers that be tomorrow, but for now just very happy to have good service, especially as the whole mess was my fault!

    had the same with Hotels.com. Booked the wrong hotel for same day and non-refundable. They called the hotel and arranged for cancellation given it was a mistake. Money refunded, all sorted. And they pick up the phone!
