Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points
The departure time of our AA flight between Dallas and Palm Springs has been moved a couple of times and we now have a 7 hour layover. We arrive from London into DFW T4 and depart from T2. My partner and I both have BA silver status, we are flying business on American and I also have a Platinum Amex. Does anyone know if we are ok to use the Centurion lounge in T4 as well as the AA lounge there rather than go straight to T2? I believe it is quick and easy enough to transit between the terminals.
The transit train between terminals airside is good.
The AA Flagship lounge is the best of the AA offerings and surprisingly good.
Thanks Richie. That is what we will do then.
Even with the transit there are still some long walks involved at DFW.
Check the map carefully for which stop is closest to your gate – there are usually 2 stops per terminal.
Are the flights both on one ticket?
I recently saw a lady being turned away as she had a 8 hr layover on separate tickets and the Amex lounge staff said it did not count as a layover as it was 2 separate fights. They were definitely enforcing the 3 hrs max rule.
We booked through BA on one ticket -DUB-LHR-DFW-PSP. I have heard there can be long queues to enter the AMEX lounge but at least we have a choice of a few others.

Thanks for the advice. We will check the map before we get on the transit.
