London hotels recommendations near Regent’s Park towards central London

Hello,

A friend with their family is looking to visit London, and as a Londoner, I’m not so familiar with hotels in the area. I wanted to check if anyone has recommendations for hotels to share near Regent’s park (south side)?

There’s a Melia near there.

The Meliá is the obvious option given the brief, I have stayed a few times and never particularly cared for it though (it was convenient for work).

You’ve got a Holiday Inn round the corner, it’s nothing special (as you’d expect).

The Holmes Hotel only opened in 2019 so it’s pretty fresh. Don’t know anything about it.

Stretching the brief (and the budget) a bit, you could consider the Hyatt Churchill or the Langham.

Thanks both. Mélia war the first I noticed. Will habe look the other options suggested. Seems they were looking at Radisson Blu.

I like the Melia, would happily use again. They have an upgrade wing, the Level, which was excellent the only time I managed to sneak into a room there.

Landmark is a bit too far west and £££ but pretty decent for a splurge.

Grafton? Great location for tube and bus but the hotel itself is unremarkable and I’d pick the Meliá out of the two. Depends I suppose to what extent they want their accommodation to be the destination. Rooms can be a bit pokey at the lower end.
