According to One World rules I should be fine connecting arriving Club World T5 overnight flight and departing Economy on BA from T3 same day to access biz lounges. However it is a connection but on separate tickets. So I’ll need a boarding pass to go through connections and can I use the OW T3 lounges? Oh hand luggage only!
If it’s on separate tickets does it strictly count as a connection? It might be a OW thing where it counts, though. If your BP is unclear on that front you’ll need to negotiate with the dragons, who may or may not be aware of the rules, so it’s always advisable to take a printed copy or screenshot with you!
Should be fine to show your arrival BP at the lounge to gain access. If you do not have your departure BP via OLCI for some reason you can get this from the desks at flight connections
Note you won’t get fast track security unless you have status but as you will probably be going through the Flight Connections Centre this won’t make much difference.
On separate tickets you aren’t connecting you have two separate and unconnected flights so be prepared for pushback – especially from the non BA lounges.
Thanks all, I may go landslide and meander to the T5 arrivals lounge for brekkie and a shower. Then not a huge issue later. I’m assuming that if I’ve got my BP I can go airside in T3 five or six hours before departure and charm the Qantas dragons?
