Hi, I’ve had my Platinum card for at least a decade now and my Father is finally contemplating getting himself one.
How long are the cards taking to arrive from the date of application at the moment ? He has an upcoming bill for some flights he’d like to put on it if he can in order to get most of the £6k spend slapped on in one go, payable on the 7th May.
He’s cutting it fine but wondering if there’s any chance it’d arrive by then ?
Cheers.On the assumption that it is the 7th or bust for the payment, I’d say there is a tiny possibility it might arrive on the 7th, if the application is successful this morning, the bank holiday makes it an even bigger risk.
Player 2 applied for hers on a Sunday at the beginning of April, it arrived the following Thursday. So there’s a slim chance it might get there, but I definitely wouldn’t bank on it.
Took two days a few weeks ago for Player 2’s card to arrive.
I agree, 2 days for player 2 earlier this month. But that assumes you get instant approval otherwise it’ll be longer.

2 days, applied wednesday, card recieved today. Also had 24hr Royal Mail stamp
