Hi all – have priority pass, flying economy out of LAX. What are my options? Online it looks like PP have no lounges at LAX… which seems mad! As an alternative, happy to pay for access but again options seem thin.
    Thanks.

Since you have a PP, do you have an Amex Plat? If so I would try the Amex Centurion lounge.

If you have a Plat and flying Delta worth checking if there is a delta lounge you can use that but no guests.

No plat, only amex gold unfortunately. Flying virgin.

Do they cross-check names on platinum – I could potentially take one, but it wouldn’t be in my name.

I used the Delta lounge in Salt Lake City, they made each of us tap the plat card and boarding pass on a machine. At Seattle and Dever centurion lounge I gave them my card and maybe scanned one boarding pass (can’t remember).

You clearly know someone with a plat, can’t they give you a plat supplementary card in your name (first one is free).

Unfortunately the one I would take they already have the free sub! Maybe worth chancing but sounds like they will cross check names.

LAX is pretty bad for general lounges. The amex lounge at LAX will be closed until they can stop the fumes getting in, they had replaced it with a grab and go box that closes at 1630.

Until recently I dont think there was even a paid lounge option at terminal B/TBIT, but if youre desperate for a lounge, I think you can pay $70 to get into the star alliance business class lounge now.

I’m not sure youd get into a delta lounge if its a VS operated flight, you might manage it if its a delta operated flight even tho its a virgin ticket – but if youre flying from term B I doubt it would be worth the hassle anyway (delta use T2/T3)

I think you can buy access to the Star Alliance lounge.
