Does anyone have any reports of a 4pm check out in London?
We have a 10pm flight from LHR, so we do not want to get to the airport until 6-7pm, so a really late check out in central would be amazing.
We’ve had till 2pm a few times (last time at the ICPL), however I don’t find it a deal breaker as I’ve never stayed in a hotel where you couldn’t store your luggage in the back office and use the facilities for pretty much as long as you need to (though I imagine they might draw the line at someone sleeping an extra night in the lobby!)
You could look at a day use room.
4pm is a stretch for a lot of hotels – even 2pm on busy turnaround days
ICs manage it for Ambassadors but only because in the scheme of things there aren’t that many so it’s manageable.
Many Hyatt’s will do this, for an additional charge.
Booking through Emyr might secure 4pm check out (at top notch hotels). https://www.headforpoints.com/virtuoso-agent-london/ Ditto Amex Platinum FHR.
Do you have status with anyone?
Diamond Hilton, Diamond Ambassador IHG (but the IC is £800 a night, so won’t be using my guaranteed 4pm check out there. Not sure if Kimpton do. Guaranteed check out at 4pm?
I forgot about the Ambassador 4 pm checkout, I must remember to ask at The George next weekend! No, Kimpton doesn’t offer this as standard, but they will keep your stuff for you. The IC O2 is usually cheaper than PL but not so conveniently located, of course.
