The recent item by Rob on getting a BA status match from a hotel status made me wonder whether it might work the other way round for a KLM/Air France “Platinum for Life” member?
In the 70’s and 80’s I used to fly a lot up and down the various East Coast UK airports on AirUK (known to regular flyers for its unofficial motto – “If you don’t give a f**k, fly AirUK” (pronounced ‘uck’).
When taken over by KLM the top status members were made “Platinum for Life” but as I avoid KLM and Air France I’ve never benefited from it.
How can I find out whether any hotel chains will status match this to their programmes? I’ve tried a Google Search but couldn’t find anything useful.
