I seem to remember a while back that BA cancelled a number of LHRKUL flights due to a lack of available aircraft, and there was some concern that the summer schedule might be at risk as well. Do we know whether that risk has now been mitigated or does it remain a “wait and see” situation?

We’re due to fly EDILHRKUL on the 8-May.

    TIA

Am in the same boat. No news is good news. Still plenty of time left for BA to mess it up.

Thanks @BBetter. Apologies for the delayed response.

Starts next week so very unlikely to see a cancellation now across the schedule as they’d owe UK261 and commercial arrangements for handling / hotels etc will be in place, crew positioning shortly ready for the inbounds etc. First outbounds look very busy, though was always full when I took it during it’s previous life!

Also, demand is softening on TATL routes. So BA would rather cut one of the poor performing US routes if the KL demand holds up.

Virgin has leased an LHR slot pair to Saudia that was originally flying to JFK, effective 30th March 2025. Tells you all.

    That is a good point.
The antics of the Orange Imbecile and his gang of loonies should in theory lead to a drop in demand. Hopefully BA decide to reinstate some far east / SEA routes instead.
