IST or MUC for a transfer?

My wife and daughter will be working in Thailand for 3 years from September so I’ll be flying out Oct & Feb half-terms and Easter.
The chances are I’ll be flying either Lufthansa or Turkish from either BHX or MAN with a layover in MUC or IST.
Are there any Priority Pass use lounges in MUC T2 that anyone would recommend and the same for IST?
Thank you in advance.
I might be wrong but isn’t there only one (non Turkish Airlines) lounge at IST?
Absolutely rammed with 20+ minutes queue to get in. But a great lounge once you eventually get in and find an empty seat.
Also I found connecting at Munich a far easier experience than at the behemoth which is the new Istanbul airport.
That said, Turkish is by far the better airline other than when things go wrong.
Thinking about it, I flew Lufthansa to Bangkok not so long ago. Connection at Munich was pretty much walking off the plane and along the corridor to the next gate – about 3 minutes walk
Connection time between flights was something silly like 40 minutes or whatever the MCT is over there, but there was never any risk.
The plane was a new a350 with the outdated 2-2-2 config.
Crew were a pack of scary dragons.
Underwhelming experience all round.
Personally I wouldn’t make a transfer point decision based on lounge access.
Price, schedule and on board experience are, IMHO, much more important issues to base a decision upon.
Unless you’re tied to Star Alliance there are multiple airlines that can get you to BKK ex MAN with only one stop.

Schedules and costs are almost identical between them and I’m only travelling with a cabin bag so it is coming down to “best airport experience” for the layovers.
I’m not tied to Star Alliance in any way but with Thai Air being a member it does make sense to be hoofing points in that pot when flying from BHX or MAN.
At least it does for me.
