Check out the US CC benefits here

I was about to apply to the Virgin + CC card and stumbled across the US version of said card i believe? I feel that we are offered miniscule compared to what the US is possibly being offered here? Unless the companion voucher is valuable to folk but obviously YMMV.

Would be interesting to hear from current card holders what they think about this.

What’s the deal for the US version of the VS+ card? In general they do seem to get much better offers in the US than here in the UK.
Not really sure there’s much we can do tbh, the US is a very different market and here in the UK we just have to accept we’re playing second fiddle.

The US market is much more profitable than the UK as the transaction fees are not capped. Unfortunately you either go with the UK option, or you don’t.

US credit cards charge merchants close to 2% compared to around 0.5% in UK. No surprise the incentives to spend are higher.

    Old news.

Why would you expect to randomly search offers in other countries and then compare them to the UK? It makes no sense as regulation, economics and many other things are in play. Maybe contact Virgin and ask them to load a 3% levy on all purchases on your card in exchange for some additional benefits.

Unfortunalty when the EU regulations came in (supported by the UK) – Credit cards became less profitable which meant less rewards for us 🙁

You will find if you look that many countries have much poorer credit card benefits than we get in UK.
