Anyone stayed here (I am thinking possibly @Rhys and/or @meta!)? Have to say IHG keep coming through for us. We have 3 nights in Washington DC before our Florida Keys road trip at Xmas and obviously lots of choice of accommodation. OH has just re-joined Ambassador so thought we’d use the BOGOF certificate to book an $860 pn suite and see if they would let us stay in it for our 3rd night (standard room on points). Within 24 hours of emailing them I’ve had the response that yes we can stay in the suite, which has also been upgraded to the next category suite (with a view!) and also that as Diamond we get $82 per day breakfast credit. It looks rather fabulous – I’d love any HFP feedback.

It IS fabulous. Was on my bucket list for years; finally stayed in 2022. Anbassador Spire status recognised, all benefits (pre One Rewards) provided up front. Room was particularly spacioys compared to NYC equivalents. Location would be hard to beat. The front desk staff were genuinely warm and professional, asking me how my stay was going and telling me about some of their recent political guests. The restaurant and café are very populat with non-guests because of the corner location by the White House. So expect breakfast and dinner times to be busy and expensive. I think I paid $52 for porridge, scrambled egg, bacon and toast. My only criticism was tea at breakfast which was served in a mug and had long gone cold by the time the hot food arrived.
