Stayed here for a night this weekend, it’s a very acceptable and less expensive alternative to the Kimpton Clocktower for cash or points or make use of the Amex £50 credit. I can confirm status members get *2* free drinks (so better than Stratford-Upon-Avon), though I guess a lot of Diamonds will be choosing the breakfast amenity when that comes in. Breakfast was only £10 per room for our booking, so we had it and it was very good – buffet plus 4/5 a la carte items including lovely eggs benedict. Service was very quick and efficient, they had the most staff I think I’ve ever seen at breakfast in a hotel!
We got a standby upgrade offer to a suite for £60 – these are on the 13th floor with very vertiginous glass-fronted balconies!
I agree it is a very nice hotel for what you pay, certainly makes the travel experience a bit more fun too! Breakfast was amazing when I went, honestly can’t wait to have it again! Dinner, a bit over priced
I have stayed previously and am due to stay again this weekend to do some flat viewings
