    All a read online is the constant problems people are having with the App, contactless payment, paying bills and customer service.
    So I want to ask..whats it been like for you recently?

    To be fair, it’s been smooth sailing for me so far. I’ve had the card for almost 6 months now and it’s been pretty smooth. No real complaints so far

    A few teething problems back in March, along with a lot of other people, but no issues since then.

    It was all fine for me until they locked me out of the app, for no reason after a few months. Now need to make time to go in to a branch (there aren’t that many) to show 2 forms of ID to prove who I am, despite having Barclays premier for 2 years.

    Thats just ridiculous. Premier is a premium service too, you would think there would a ‘better’ way of sorting that out.

    It has been a nightmare for me, it quite often isn’t authorized online, which then necessitates a long call to fraud to have it unlocked. Contactless quite often doesn’t work. Customer service very variable some excellent, some awful.
    I considered the 100,000 offer but decided against it as my time is more valuable to me than 100,000 avios.
    They have even missed up my simple request to close my account and cancel the credit card. I spent 43 minutes on the phone to them last Monday. Rang yesterday and the account/card hadn’t been cancelled!

    Have you tried calling premier customer support? I did and after some time, they told me to delete the app and re-register with an activation code they gave over the phone. I got access to all my accounts straightaway despite the app having said I needed an ID check. It seems the app locks me out if an account is opened or closed…

    Although that’s a positive result, Barclays is by far the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with and I’ve been a customer with pretty much all of them over the years. Poor product offering (apart from Avios bonus), terrible IT, slow customer service and difficult to access branch network.

    I just signed up to premier banking yesterday and now locked out both barclaycard and barclay app (both were active with my credit card i have). I am going to call their customer care line for premier line and wait to speak to them as its 30 minute wait at the moment to see if they give me an online code so i dont need to wait until the paperwork and debit card to come through to change to the avios account (£12pm fee) gets the ball rolling on the 4 month wait

    Got through but they would not give me a code until I receive my debit card in the post, would also not change my account to the avois reward one as said i can do this once i get my debit card in the post
