Hi,
Anyone with real life experience of receiving (or not) the free breakfast for nights booked with points?
Just booked the Intercontinental New Orleans for a week and definitely interested on this.
I can see conflicting informations as 1) free breakfast on “qualifying nights only” and 2) award nights has same benefit of the normal nights…
I stayed in Florida this October at two hotels all on rewards nights. Both provided FOC breakfast for 2 people (kids ate free anyway).
I’ve had free breakfast on Rewards night in multiple hotels – IC, Kimpton and Holiday Inn.
Yes at Kimpton and IC during the past month.
It’s one of a choice of “amenities” that you’re offered while checking in.
Every time I stay – no problem at all. In the same way as welcome points and drink have always been offered.
Stayed 11 – Breakfast 11 since new scheme started. No drama from any hotels regardless of reward or paid stays. I think most, but not all, adverse reports date back to the period after scheme was announced but before it launched when many felt some weird entitle
to be offended when hotels rightly refused to entertain their cuteness.
Received at the Kimpton de Witt 3 months ago on redemption nights. Just make sure that you take the free breakfast as your welcome amenity when you check in
Yes – as Chas says make sure you establish this at check in, for example at the Kimpton Seafire we needed dated vouchers for all the breakfasts ($94 for 2 so they were pretty valuable bits of paper!).
We’re going to New Orleans next October but the IC is about £600 pn night on our dates!
Kimpton de Witt no vouchers – rooms and names are on the printed list to be ticked off.
HI Manchester give vouchers and we don’t appear on the list and we need to hand the voucher over.
Points bookings make no difference as to getting the benefit. I’m not sure why people think otherwise. It’s a status benefit not part of the room rate.
