Hi everyone,
Has anyone had success with combining Avios using either the BA or Iberia portal? I’ve been extremely unlucky, and I need to book flights with Iberia.
I’ve reached out to both customer service teams, but they keep giving me conflicting information about why this isn’t working. It’s been very frustrating. The error message I keep getting is: “Combine my Avios is not available at the moment. Please try again later.”
Has anyone found an alternative solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
There’s a bug that it won’t work unless all the necessary personal details are input into your Iberia account. Crucially this includes the address and postcode even though stupidly it’s not highlighted as a mandatory field.
There’s also another bug as it will only let you put numbers in the postcode field but just put in the numbers (no letters) from your postcode.
I did this and it worked fine for me a year ago when I was having issues and I know it’s worked for others as well.
@Paras This was an issue for me too for ages. As @newel says everything has to be completed in the Iberia account – completing my address never used to ‘stick’ for me but an email to IB CS sorted it out in a dew days. Most interesting though was that the month and day of my DOB were the wrong way round in my IB account i.e. American format. So worth double checking that too. When that was done all was fine
All very interesting. I’ve had an Iberia account for years and remember when I set it up I had issues with my address. I have never been able to Combine my Avios Iberia/BA. Will look at this again and if still have issues will contact Iberia.
Make sure you select your own personal BA Exec Club account after you log in and NOT a HHA ( HouseHold ) account before selecting the Combine My Avios option.
Also, your Iberia account MUST be at least 90 days old ( I believe ) before you can use certain functions within it….
Good luck. 🤞
