I wanted to use my once-in-a-lifetime 6 months Ambassador extension and asked IHG customer services to also kindly extend my free night voucher. They rejected, and indeed their T&C say the night does not get extended, but I see many who asked on this and other forums did get the extension of both. Not sure what I did wrong, hope I was sufficiently polite, perhaps I simply need to try with another representative, or would anyone have any suggestions? I am a Diamond member until the end of the year.
Did you ask IHG customer services or the Ambassador helpline. Try ambassador@ihg.com, they’re much more helpful.
Email again, beg, and lay it on thick about how much you love IHG but would be really disappointed if they refused your request as they are usually so fabulous at CS. It’s worked for me and OH a couple of times each!
I managed to do this successfully last week. Explained I hadn’t done much travel in the last 12 months, that I have some travel planned for later in the year and enquired into options on extension of ambassador and the voucher. I dealt directly by email with ambassador at IHG.com team – who have always been very helpful.
