BA emailed to remind me I have an evoucher for £100 expiring end of Jan. I think it’s only redeemable on flights. Does anyone know if this can be used to pay towards taxes online? I have a large stash of Avios so the only use I see for this is a cheap economy return in Europe and buying a second seat for my OH with Avios. Or alternatively I may as well use it towards taxes for a long haul flight if I decide where to go by end of Jan, if that’s a possibility?
These are the conditions on the email that contains mine

Has anyone been able to use this since the website changed? There seems to be no place to enter the evoucher number when checking out now. Cash ticket, in line with voucher terms.

We too couldn’t manage it so we booked on the app. There is a voucher space to enter it. Stupid system.
If you are booking via the website, there is a link on the new website homepage.
At the bottom of the “Find Exactly What You Are Booking For” booking area, there are two links underneath – find you’re next adventure and then Save With a Companion or eVoucher.
The link takes you into a separate booking page – with seemingly the same options to book flights, flights+hotels, flights+cars etc.
If you try to use a voucher without using this link, it wont work. Rather than appearing as part of the payments options, its disappears completely.
It all seems rather convoluted, but I suspect there is a reason. Be aware that the base fares you get by booking via this use voucher link are slightly higher than the base fares you get quoted going via the “normal” booking page. I ended up paying £6 extra per fare on flights to/from Edinburgh. So in effect, I was charged £6 per head extra for using the voucher.
It’s obviously not a huge sum, but if you have let your customers down somehow and issued a voucher to compensate, why would you then reclaim some of the voucher value in a totally non-transparent manner? And how do you expect your customers to feel if they notice you are doing this?
Perhaps customers asked for this as part of the loyalty changes?
