How long do Amex rebates take to credit?

Hi couple of questions.

How long in your experinece do amex rebates on spend offers usually take to hit the acount?

If one was to downgrade or change card before rebate has anyone experinced this and does the rebate credit the new card.

How long is a piece of string? I have had to phone amex for manual rebates….on one occasion the actual rebate came off weeks later too lol.

Had that once too.

The manual rebate was much more generous than the official one too.
