HKG Qatar desks – how early can I bag drop?

Does anyone know how early I can check-in and bag drop at Qatar desk in HKG?

I land from another flight on the Friday at 23:30. Then I have a flight out from there on the Sunday at 02:10.

Ideally I’d like to leave the bags at the airport, rather than lug them back and forth for 24 hours, but presume 26 hours is too early.

But how early can I check in on the Sat evening, as I would like to do some lounge hopping a few hours beforehand?

I tried asking Qatar Airways and they were useless – telling me I can check in if the desks are open. I told them the desk in HKG are open nearly 24/7 and they then told me I can only use them if the desk for MY flight was open, ie exactly what I was asking them!

PS – I believe the in-town checkin at Central is still closed, unless anyone knows otherwise?

Qatar typically open 3hrs before their flight. Looks like they do have an earlier flight some days, if you turned up around 90mins before that departure I suspect they’d check them in but I don’t think you’ll find a way to confirm that in advance

You won’t be able to do anything when you land as it will be too early

Shame the in town check in is still closed, hopefully it resumes soon now things have opened up
