We are heading to Hawaii and staying in a Hilton on a points booking of 5 nights for 4.
I seem to remember an all points booking does not incur ( the highly outrageous) resort fees. Was I dreaming this? Cant seem to find clarification anywhere and hotel is eyeing up $175. ( for a whole lot of stuff we won’t use or need!)“ No resort fees on Reward Stays

Yes, BWS and you both correct. No worries Jill, it states this sometimes in searches but they are not applied on reward stays.
Just checked out .. no resort fees. Not impressed with Embassy Suites , although TA is , in the main,very positive. Drab dingy room, 70s decor. No welcome. upgrade $60 pn.( no thanks) 1 hr extra on checkout very grudgingly given . Any longer $25 + taxes per hour. On checkout, none of the usual chit chat on how was your stay etc.
I’m convinced it was because we were on an all points booking , and no cash extracted from us. How’s that for loyalty. IHG we’re SO much better in acknowledging status and rewarding it.Sorry to hear that, Jill – hope rest of trip was great anyway!
Without wanting to state the b. obvious (!) for anyone else
looking at Hilton points bookings to the US to avoid the dreaded
resort fees, I’ve been monitoring them at Disney Springs, and the
number of points required for 5 nights changes almost daily!
