Has anyone had a positive experience with this?
I just tried to get them to match a lower rate and it was a painful experience (as well as unsuccessful!)
The agent on the phone kept telling me that the price on hotels.com was more expensive than booking directly with Hilton, even though I had a price on my laptop in front of me that was £90 cheaper.
I thoroughly checked everything before calling (exact room type, cancellation terms, breakfast included). It is a Hampton, so there aren’t many room types to ‘confuse’ the situation.
I have booked the room with hotels.com and even though I have a confirmation email now, the agent refused my offer to send it to her as proof.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
I recently had a Price Match agreed (for the first time) at the Conrad in Las Vegas. Its very difficult to get an exact match though another supplier , everything including cancellation periods etc needs to be the same as the Hilton offer to trigger the guarantee.

This sounds interesting. Do you provide the Twitter team with a case number leaving the booking open until they respond?
I’ve done it two or three times over the years, I don’t recall any particular issues. Did an incredibly cheap one-night stay at Gatwick one time back when it used to be ‘match the rate and $50 off’.
Just to follow up on this, I submitted a request using the Hilton online form.
No response after 90 hours – I’ve been messaging the Twitter team, who say “it’s in the queue”.
