I’ve made a schoolboy error and not topped up my HH account and the points expire tomorrow! I have 31k points.
Is there any quick way to get points in to the account from Amex, Nectar etc?! Help!
Does buying them count? There’s often a bonus on, though I haven’t been keeping track of these recently. Or transfer from another member?
Transferring from Amex etc would probably be slower.
I think the only way to get points in your account today is to buy them. 1000 will cost you $10 (£8). 10000 will cost you $50
Looks like you can make a small charitable donation as well: https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/10/27/when-do-hilton-honors-points-expire-2/
Presumably a redemption would also count which you could then cancel at a later date but to be sure I would either donate or buy given the sums involved in either are de minimus.
Thanks all, happy to buy some points then plan to get them used up!
I see I can buy 5000 points with a 5000 bonus for USD50? Is that good value?
Probably. I certainly buy at that price.
You are buying at half a cent.
A couple of my upcoming stays.
Hilton Boston. Cheapest available room, $324. Non refundable. Pay with points, 60000 points which you can buy for $300. But paying with points, I can choose a better room that would cost $457,and points bookings are usually fully refundable.
Hilton Ithaca. 5 nights, non refundable, $1450.
5 nights redemption, pay for four (silver status or higher), get one free, 24000 points costing $1200, and fully refundable.
