Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Hilton Points bonus value

I am heading to Amingiri today and my HH app is showing “total for stay” as $9,534.30 + 4440,000 points. As I paid in points I am assuming that the cash amount is the equivalent cost. As I paid £1,672 for 420,000 of those points in the seemingly endless 100% bonus point promotions there is significant value to be had at certain properties.

I’ve always understood that to be cash amount + points. So you’ll pay $9,534 on top of the points, unless I’m mistaken.

That’s a £1000 a night hotel, so looks like a points plus cash booking unless you really meant 4.4 million points.

You assume incorrectly – assuming that you actually meant 440,000 points.

This is merely an error in the Hilton app which occasionally shows up when the hotel is managing your booking internally prior to your arrival. Fortunately, you won’t be asked to pay the $9534 unless you get a very inexperienced staff member at check out.

The value you are receiving is the amount you would have genuinely been willing to pay for your stay, minus £1672.

If you managed to book a few days for 420k points then that’s an absolute bargain. What does the booking email say?
