Hilton points for Diamond ugprade

Can anyone help . I currently have 92000 HH points (Gold status via Amex Plat card ) if I get to 120000 HH points does this mean that I would be upgraded from Gold To Diamond status and does this only last if I have a minimum of 120000 points ?

It’s 120,000 points earned in a year, if you earn all of it in one year you get diamond, yes

Note it’s 120,000 BASE points per year; the bonus points you will have earned on stays as a gold member (or points from credit cards etc) do not count for this total.

It’s just the base points and the tracker in the app should show you how many base points you’ve collected.
