Also – if you’re thinking of booking here, see the comments on FT about the Air Con being restricted to a lower bound of 24 degrees.

In March I found the room uncomfortable to sleep in after the sun had been on the window all day. At that point, the air con was centrally turned off and leaving the balcony doors open resulted in me getting bitten all over by something!

This was a return trip and I really like the property. But the penny pinching around the breakfast and room comfort makes me think again before returning.

We were there in mid August – a/c in our room was totally independent and we set it at 21.0 or lower if wanted…..
But we were big fans of the property overall. And Malta in general.

That’s good news – hopefully they’ve seen sense on that policy!

I think so – because I remember there was an “Eco Notice” in the room saying they only put a light sheet on the bed, not a full duvet so that A/C can be set to 24 degrees…..

But it was definitely possible to set it colder.

I did like the drinking water tap in the bathroom too. Good idea.

Arrived at the hotel this morning. Really nice upgrade to a sea view room.

    AC minimum is 20C.

Diamond breakfast to be taken in the lounge, €16 each to take it in the restaurant. Drinks and canapes 5-7 in the lounge.

There is a new Adult-only beach club, which between 5.30 and 6.30 offers Diamonds 2 drinks and a cheese/meat platter, which was actually pretty decent.

Very odd – As golds we just had breakfast in the restaurant – 2A and 2Cs all free.
We had an exec level room but the lounge brekky v weak compared to the restaurant.

Thai restaurant in the hotel and the japanese teppankyaki restaurant in the port well worth a visit too.

The Gold/Diamond thing does seem odd. That said, the restaurant is really busy at breakfast. The lounge much less so and I must admit that we prefer it for that reason. Agree on the Thai restaurant.
