I was sent a Diamond gifting link as my partner stays in Hiltons 150+ nights a year. I redeemed it in January and entered my HH account number. I was already Diamond so was somewhat surprised to find this month I have dropped to Silver. Contacted HH priorityletter@hilton.com and they say it is because the code was never redeemed and so basically tough luck. I 100% accepted the gift but didn’t screenshot so have no proof. The link sent to my partner was described as ‘do not click the link as it will cause deactivation’ so wondering if it’s some Hilton website glitch. We only clicked on it the once though. Anyone else had a problem?
Have followed up saying how disappointed we are given that we stay 150+ nights a year but just got the ‘computer says no, the code expired mid-Feb’. My travel frequency has dropped since Covid so not in a position to earn Diamond myself and have enjoyed the lounge and free breakfast.
Any suggestions other than one last go maybe threaten to take our 150+ nights elsewhere?
