Hi
I’d dismissed the Hilton debit cards previously because I have limited FX debit card spend and can earn more HH points via Amex spending. However! I realised this morning that I am increasingly close to HH Lifetime Diamond status and if the debit cards earn me BASE points, rather than bonus points, that would be a good reason to get one of these cards. Anyone know what flavour of points these cards earn?

This is a very interesting question! I had also dismissed this offer, as it’s pretty feeble just in points terms. I hope someone can shed light!
As an aside, do you have some way to find out your total lifetime spend/points? Obviously ten years is easy to track.
I believe you need to ask Hilton for your lifetime stats.
The Hilton Barclaycard points are not base points.
But it’s not completely obvious that they shouldn’t qualify, as points earned via the former IHG barclaycard and IHG creation card did count as elite-qualifying.

Pretty obvious if you can read the terms.
They are (obviously) bonus points.
And this is the reason I dismissed it as a product as it was the only thing that would have made it worthwhile in my case.
I love my Hilton Barclaycard. It’s been well worth having over the years. Long may it continue to exist!
