Thanks can. Yeh we saw others in Hilton dalaman complaining quite profusely but I didn’t see a review appear on Tripadvisor and very likely they were “bribed” too.

Thanks whuaremassive. I will look at that resort.

My eldest started reception this year so we have joined all those who can only travel in school holidays!

yeah, I am seeing it more and more that all they care about is tripadvisor reviews these days..

    Do you go often?
We are always looking for great large all inclusive resorts but there aren’t many chain branded ones we have come across where you can use points.

I’d also be interested in an article on that, Zara!

I am not even sure there us enough number of point-based all inclusives within Europe.
This is my annual drama: I am in the Hilton system. There is just not enough all inclusives in Europe, and many are in Turkey: bodrum + kemer + dalaman.
I cannot be bothered to fly to caribbeans or mexico for this, so options are very very limited.

I struggle to understand how people can be ‘bribed’ especially when the health and safety of my child is involved.

If my child’s safety is ever compromised, I’ll be sure to make it known to management and publicise this in public forums to warn others regardless of whatever incentives they throw at me.

Day 4 now, and still satisfied with this place.

Totally agree – we, too, refuse to be bribed!
Glad you are having a good time. It’s always the case that when everything is going well, and the facilities are good, then it’s perfect.
But it’s how management deals with issues (minor or major) that truly shows them apart. When they don’t even see the significance of an issue of health and safety, then that’s another level of worrying even if everything else is perfect.

    Sorry @can

Sorry I responded to this twice but for some reason they didn’t post.
I was asking which other Turkish riviera resorts you have tried previously?

We have tried the Barut Lara and the Barut hotels. They are excellent but are now getting super expensivett and with us now being a family of 5, it is getting too much.

The others are the Accor ones. Rixos and the land of legends. Again, they are getting crazy expensive now.
This is why points bookings would be useful going forward.

They are all great resorts but getting very expensive!

And we are the same re where to fly. I just can’t see us doing flights over 5 hours with 3 little kids

I learned with experience how corrupt the country is. I read later that Vogue bodrum has some ties with governments and Russia. They bring Russian tourists, local and National government does not care about hygiene. The facilities were great there. It looks amazing on paper. But ther service was awful and I couldn’t even leave the room for three days. They said every food and the pool water are tested in the labs. Right!

I’d never go to UAE. Resorts are tempting but the country is scary

I’ve been to few, but nothing comes to mind to recommend. I had two pretty serious food poisoning in turkish resorts, Player 2 got stung by fish and went to A&E. It was pretty eventful — but cannot take the risk now with kids..

    Never heard of Barut.

I know of Maxx Royal and Rixos and the Mandarin 🙂 Pretty hefty prices..

Aah the maxx royal…. I’ve eyes that up so much. How is it so unaffordable?

I really would be keen to hear on all inclusive points resorts within 5 hour flights.

Ps. I have not been able to use HFP for a while now and dip in and out very infrequently. Clearly Hilton Dalaman fired me up today…

If you look at points all inclusive resorts, there are many actually. As you mentioned Accor resorts and Melia have some good presence.

It is pity that I am stuck as Hilton Diamond.

And there is LXR Bodrum, by the way.. And new Curio is opening in Bodrum area.
I’ve seen this doubletree alacati on tripadvisor, with awful awful reviews — which is really odd..

I do need to look into melia as their points rates may make them worth a try.
I didn’t think LXR BODRUM is all incl? I’ve just had a very quick look at their website and it doesn’t seem obvious

You are right. LXR is too cool to be all inclusive. Neither is Curio.
