I’ve just reaches gold status with Hilton a couple of months ago , in Thailand last week they gave us full hot Buffett breakfast complimentary as gold members however in the US I hear you just get a credit

Wish to book some hotels in oz for 2024 and was wondering if likely to get full breakfast or credit

Not sure if they adopt the us way or Asia

    Thanks

I think it’s only the US (and possibly some Canadian properties) which give the credit, but if you look in the HH app under Member Benefits it’s explained what you get where.

My only experience with Hilton in Australia is a stay at the Hilton in Sydney last year. They offered continental breakfast to Gold members, rather than a full breakfast. However, they upgrade Golds to executive rooms if they are available, and these give lounge access. Breakfast in the lounge probably offered less choice than the restaurant buffet but was not limited to continental.

In Australia and New Zealand, AFAIK only Hilton Brisbane currently offers full restaurant breakfast to G and D, the others offer continental only (as stated by the T&Cs). The daily food and beverage credit only applies in the USA for now, and also worldwide in Motto hotels, although some Canadian properties also do it (contrary to the T&Cs).

The others charge a small amount extra for full breakfast, usually around $10.15 (the 15 cents being a “credit card surcharge” which is legal even though many of them do not accept cash so there may be no other way to pay).

Some or all Hiltons and DTs did offer full restaurant breakfast at varying times in the past. I did hear that one of the NZ properties currently offers full breakfast to D but not G, at the whim of the staff, but I forgot which.

Lounge breakfast at Hilton Sydney was quite extensive before covid, certainly better than some UK Hilton restaurant breakfasts.
