Another excellent gathering. Well done to HfP for organising and executing. I could have stayed for the whole night talking to peers and reps!
Delightful to meet and speak with as many of you as I did last night. Agree I could have stayed and chatted all night.
Great to witness first hand folks’ enthusiasm for travel.
Thanks again to Rob, Rhys, Sinead, SeatSpy and all the “trade reps” for a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and especially to those of you who shared your passion, tips and own experiences so generously with me.
I think I unintentionally give off ‘Don’t speak to me’ vibes as I only met a lovely man called Roy and his daughter. Would love to have met more of you. I was sat on an outside sofa for the first half being shy and eyeing harissa canapés though! Spent the last half an hour before/during raffle standing chatting at a table with Rob’s delightful wife Connie. Lovely evening.
Was lots and fun, and great to meet a few of you, including SSS and your lovely guide dog.
@Amy it’s not just you giving off the “don’t speak to me vibes” I experienced the same for the first 30 mins I was there. I also found myself chatting to only one person who was really interesting. I did finally meet Rob and Rhys but I’m also not sure how I missed SSS and guide dog! (And as a consequence WaynedP and BWS)
Sorry I didn’t meet more of you but I had a fab evening. As WaynedP says fascinating to hear others travel experiences.
Well done to those who won the prizes and thanks to Rob and all at HfP and the generosity of SeatSpy for a great evening.
Part of the reason we invite the industry people is that they are there to chat and meet customers. 25% of the people in the room were ‘industry’ and had industry badges on, and we’d encourage anyone feeling a little shy to strike up a conversation with a trade guest. They are genuinely keen to find out what you think of their airline / hotel programme / credit card.
Not sure how many of you noticed but the CEO of BA Euroflyer, Tom Stoddart, was there. He is a great guy to meet – few people know that he is a qualified pilot and actually flies a couple of BA Euroflyer services each month to keep his licence active!
Great night. I didn’t speak to many people but got to know Duncan that won the Malaysia Tickets :).

@LadyLondon, I was hoping to meet you last night to thank you for your help in the past. Hopefully next time!
I only met one of you, I tried very hard to keep an eye on the badges but I suspect many wrote their real names rather than their forum names (I did both). Rhy is helpful at making intros if you can catch him! Hope to meet more of you another time. Maybe we do a roll call to see who is coming in advance and maybe add identifiable features 😂. I did spot the dog but had no idea it was SSS.
