Forums Other Destination advice Heathrow hotel day booking

  • 141 posts

    Hi all

Can anyone recommend a hotel at Heathrow that allows you to grab a room at the last minute (ie just if needed) to catch a few hours (eg 7am – 3pm) after a red-eye flight?

I’ve done some searching online and Daybreakhotels.com provides some options but obviously means pre-booking – has anyone used them?

    Thanks

    I’ve used these people

    https://www.dayuse.co.uk/

And their US site with no problems

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to just book on the day once you arrive at LHR.

The Hilton website allows you to book for a day, put the same check in and check out dates and it’ll show you which ones are available in the area and the times you can check in/out. Hilton day rates count for status and points.

However I think most don’t allow check in until after 9am but you’ll have to check it out yourself.

For what it’s worth, Dayuse only charge £5 to cancel (which I was surprised I could do on the day itself) so if you are fairly sure you would be wanting a nap then it is a pretty good option just to reserve.
