Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Has your EB Gold status match been downgraded?

I did a status match to BA last year and my EuroBonus Gold account still shows a qualification period ending 30 Jun 2025 but a current status expiry shown of September 2026.

Rob has previously told me that the September 2026 date is incorrect and only shown due to IT limitations. I was under the impression that if you did not make the 5 promotional flights by 31st March then you would be downgraded on 01 April.

May account is still showing me as a Gold member – just wondered what others are seeing?

I’m flying with SAS several times next week and don’t know if it’s best to link the flights to my SAS EB gold account that supposedly will downgrade imminently or the KLM Flying Blue status match I did a few months back.

Still Gold and still showing September 2026 expiry for me and no SK flights taken.

This status match already served its purpose for me, allowing a match to Finnair and another year of OW Sapphire after losing BA Silver. Keeping it until 2026 is a bonus if it happens! My feeling is that it won’t be downgraded but fair enough if it is.

Same for me, although I have flown 6 segments

    Thanks for the replies.

This is somewhat annoying as if I do get to keep the status until Sep 26 then I might as well credit all my upcoming SAS flights to EB instead of Flying Blue.

I wonder if we’ll get an answer on this or whether the accounts will suddenly be downgraded at a random date.
