Has anyone booked via avios.com for car hire?

Hi

Has anyone hired a car through the avios website? It’s coming in cheaper than both the BA Avis site and direct with Avis.

I’m also Avis president club, do you still get these benefits if you book via the avios website or is it only booking direct with Avis

Also are all insurances covered? I have previously booked with Alamo Brits where everything is covered so wanted to see how it compares to Avis

I had an Avis rental booked through Avios last month from Orlando. I had the President’s Club upgraded vehicle on collection and was able to go straight to the car and avoided the desk. You should be able to add your Avis number during booking so you will see the booking in the Avis App.

It included CDW and had zero excess on other insurances.

@iandv – the important issue of insurance will be specific to your booking and the location. Often, the difference in car hire prices does relate to included/not included insurances or levels thereof so everything should be compared carefully!
