Picking up a car from Avis next week at GVA (Swiss side) to drive into France.
Will they have high viz vests or should I take my own (or is that really not something I should worry about).
Don’t really want to be faced with a bonkers fine from M. Plod within minutes of passing over the border.
I’d take your own, hardly big. It’s your liability after all. Even if they’re supposed to be there you never know. That’s just me.
The fine isn’t bonkers (€135 reduced to €90) but if you have Swiss plates you are much more likely to get stopped at the many ‘contrôles’ that will relish taking as long as possible to write you a ticket. Take your own ‘gilets jaunes’ for an easy life if you don’t think they will have them.
