Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Getting points for gift cards

I have been living in Australia for almost 2 years now and I have noticed there is a way to get a huge amount of frequent flyer points over here. The two main supermarkets (Woolies and Coles) are linked with the two frequent flyer programmes (Qantas & Virgin Australia) and regularly run promotions to get up to 20x extra points when buying gift cards. They have them for a range of products including Apple meaning you can then spend them via the estore link to get even more points (and use your points credit card to buy the gift cards in the first place to really maximise them).

I will be moving back from Australia in a few months an am wondering if there is any similar deal available with BA/Avios? I’d love to be able to get the absolute maximum possible Avios particularly for big ticket items like a new phone where I would be happy to wait until the promotion is run.

Only thing that springs to mind is possible Revolut as sometimes they have 10-20x multipliers. If your buying the phone anyway it’s quite good and 1x Avios per £ exchange rate. Sometimes there’s even a bonus on like a month back. Otherwise you can shop online and take out the various CCs. Use great guides here.
