I will have a stay in one of the Hyatt Hotels next month. Is it worth to get Hyatt points for just one stay? As I do not see myself staying a lot in Hyatt Hotels in the future, should I just get airline miles for this one-off stay instead? Is there a big value difference between the two options? Thanks in advance
You can’t earn miles instead of points.
All you can do is take the points and – if you’ve got 6,000 – turn them into Avios. However, 6k is also good for a suite upgrade for 1 night at many hotels so I’d rather keep them than take Avios.
If your stay generates under 6,000 Hyatt points then they are orphaned.
